About Us
Pete and Sherri Hanke have been operating P.S. Express for over twenty years, and in that time have always endeavored to make your trip a lasting memory. In 1981, Pete started with his Dad providing week-long sailing adventures aboard the 80ft schooner, Alcyone. Over the years, Pete reluctantly moved from sailboats to powerboats, but always making sure the experience and boats were first rate. To that end, we still continue to operate the best excursion vessels in the fleet, and staff them with the most exciting and knowledgeable crew we can find.
You will often find Sherri in the office answering question and solving problems. Don't tell anyone but she is definitely the brains behind the operation. Although she has threatened many times to get her own 'Captains License' she actually prefers the beach to the water and if truth be known would probably be taking her horse out for a spin rather than a boat. Actually, the funny part of these two is that they both grew up on farms driving tractors. How that translates into boats is still a question mark?
This summer you will probably start to see Christopher and
Sarah making their debut as crew on the boat. Christopher, who is 15, is
definitely chasing down his dad's wake and just hoping he gets to stand watch
at the wheel while dad serves coffee and checks the head.
